Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information: your email address, a securely hashed password (we never store your password in plain text), your username, and the display name you choose. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the identifier and email those providers share with us.
• Optional profile details: a phone number, if you choose to provide one.
• Device and technical information: a random installation identifier generated by the app (this is not a hardware serial number or advertising ID), your device model, operating system version, app version, platform (iOS or Android), a push-notification token, and the result of Firebase App Check's attestation, which confirms requests come from a genuine, unmodified copy of Pawwi rather than a script or a repackaged app.
• Approximate location: we infer your country from your IP address at sign-up, used to set sensible defaults like timezone. We do not collect precise GPS location.
• Gameplay data: your pets and their care history, in-game currency balances and transaction history, items you own, referral/invite codes you've created or redeemed, and — for any period the feature is enabled — player-vs-player rank and match history.
• Social and communication data: friend requests and friendships, users you block, direct messages you send to other players through in-app chat, and reports you file about another player's conduct.
• User-generated and AI-generated content: text prompts you submit to request a custom AI-generated pet skin or house, and the resulting artwork.
• Purchase information: when you buy in-app currency or items, Apple or Google process the payment and share transaction receipts with RevenueCat, our purchase-management provider. We never see or store your card details.
• Advertising data: if you choose to watch a rewarded video ad, Google AdMob may collect device and advertising identifiers under its own privacy policy, described further below.
• Support communications: if you contact us for help, we keep that correspondence to respond to you and improve Pawwi.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information above to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain Pawwi, including saving your pet's progress and your purchases
• Authenticate you and keep your account secure
• Process purchases and grant the items or currency you buy
• Enable the social features you choose to use — friends, chat, and reporting
• Send service-related push notifications, such as a friend request, a message, or a care reminder for your pet (we do not send marketing push notifications)
• Detect, investigate, and prevent cheating, fraud, and abuse — including abuse of the invite/referral program
• Respond to support requests
• Comply with legal obligations, such as tax and consumer-protection law

3. Legal Bases for Processing

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Türkiye, we process your personal data on these legal bases: performance of a contract (providing the game you signed up for), our legitimate interests (preventing fraud and abuse, and improving Pawwi), your consent (for example, choosing to watch a rewarded ad or link a social sign-in), and compliance with legal obligations.

As we are based in Türkiye, we process personal data in accordance with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK). If you are located in Türkiye, you have the rights described under KVKK Article 11, which we address in the "Your Rights" section below.

4. Who We Share Information With

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We share information only with the service providers that help us run Pawwi, each of which processes it under its own privacy policy and only for the purpose we use it for:

• Firebase / Google Cloud — account authentication, app-integrity attestation (App Check), push notifications, and remote configuration
• OpenAI — the text prompt (and any reference image) you submit when commissioning a custom pet skin or house, solely to generate that artwork
• RevenueCat — validating purchase receipts from the App Store or Google Play
• Google AdMob — serving rewarded video ads
• Cloudflare — storing generated artwork and other app assets
• Resend — sending transactional emails, such as sign-up verification codes and password resets
• We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights, property, or safety of Pawwi, our players, or the public, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets — in which case we will require the recipient to honor this Privacy Policy.

5. Data Retention

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account — from Settings inside the app, or at pawwi.net/delete-account — we permanently delete your pets, purchase history association, currency balances, and gameplay progress within a reasonable period, except for records we are required to keep by law (for example, transaction records for tax purposes) or that we need to resolve disputes or enforce our agreements.

6. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, receive a copy of it, object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent you previously gave.

You can delete your account, and the personal data tied to it, at any time from the app's Settings screen or at pawwi.net/delete-account. For any other request, email us at pawwi@pawwi.net. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Children's Privacy

Pawwi is intended for a general audience aged 13 and older (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, if higher). Pawwi is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that a user is under 13, we will delete that account and associated data. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at pawwi@pawwi.net and we will act promptly.

8. International Data Transfers

Pawwi is developed in Türkiye and relies on service providers based in other countries, including the United States. This means your information may be transferred to, and processed in, a country other than the one you live in, which may have different data-protection laws. Where required, we rely on the safeguards those providers offer, such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

9. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypting data in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and storing passwords as salted, irreversible hashes rather than plain text. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Advertising and Tracking

Pawwi shows optional rewarded video ads through Google AdMob in exchange for in-game rewards. AdMob may collect device and advertising identifiers to select and measure ads, under Google's own privacy policy. Where Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework applies, we will request your permission before any tracking-related data is used for advertising, and you can change that permission at any time in your device's Settings.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make a material change, we will let you know in the app or by email before it takes effect. Your continued use of Pawwi after a change takes effect means you accept the updated policy.
